Hugo Luna - Mexico

Hugo Luna is a Mexican actor who received his acting bachelor’s degree at CasAzul, Argos. He won a scholarship and studied Shakespeare at the BADA (British American Drama Academy) in Oxford university, the program is associated with YALE School of Drama. He is also a member of Yonder Window Theatre Company.

In Mexican theatre he has been part of “Fosa de Recuerdos e Ignominias” Dir. Cutberto López Jr., TempestadEs Dir. Carlos Corona, Hipopotamiga Dir. Alonso Íñiguez, El Amor es un Francotirador Dir. Rodrigo Espinosa, Aldo he did an artistic residency with an English director that resulted in a play called Historias de Amor y Violencia Dir. Gari Jones as well as The Dream Project Dir. Katie McHugh, a devised play based on “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”this play was presented in San Miguel de Allende, Brooklyn and Montreal. As scriptwriter and director he did a play called Desconocidos Aparte(It got to the finals in a competition by Teatro UNAM - XXI Festival internacional de Teatro Universitario- FITU- UNAM). In the movie industry he has worked in several short films and two feature films (Preludio a una siesta and Preferiría no hacerlo)

In TV he has worked as an actor, scriptwriter and TV host in several TV Networks like: TV Azteca, Imagen TV, Canal 14, E! y Telemundo US. He recently was the resident director of “Fully committed” (the Mexican version of the Broadway show).
